Why does the Dermalux LED Face Mask use just one 10-minute treatment?

The Dermalux LED Face Mask combines three clinically proven wavelengths in one expertly optimised 10-minute treatment, so there is no need to select different modes or programmes.
Each wavelength works at a different level within the skin, allowing you to benefit from all three in one simple daily treatment.

Why doesn't the Dermalux LED Face Mask have Blue Light?

The Dermalux LED Face Mask is specifically designed for skin rejuvenation. Its Red 633nm, Near Infrared 830nm and Deep Near Infrared 1072nm wavelengths have been selected to work together to support healthier, visibly rejuvenated skin.
Blue 415nm is used in other Dermalux devices for the treatment of acne. As the Face Mask is specifically focused on skin rejuvenation, Blue Light is not included in its expertly optimised treatment.

Can I use the Dermalux LED Face Mask if I have blemish-prone skin?

Yes. The Dermalux LED Face Mask can be used on blemish-prone skin; however, it is specifically designed for skin rejuvenation rather than the treatment of acne.
For targeted Blue Light treatment of acne, a Dermalux device incorporating Blue 415nm, such as the Flex MD, may be more appropriate.

What does a treatment feel like?

Treatments are comfortable, relaxing and non-invasive. The Mask does not generate damaging heat, although you may experience a gentle feeling of warmth during treatment.

Can I use skincare products with the Dermalux LED Face Mask?

For optimal light delivery, use the Dermalux LED Face Mask on clean, dry skin, free from makeup, SPF and skincare products.
Once your treatment is complete, apply your preferred skincare products as part of your usual routine.​

Can I use the Dermalux LED Face Mask alongside other skin treatments?

LED Phototherapy is widely used by skincare professionals alongside other aesthetic treatments. However, if you are using the Dermalux LED Face Mask following a professional procedure, follow the advice of your treating practitioner regarding when and how to use it.

Do I need to wear eye protection?

The Dermalux LED Face Mask incorporates integrated moulded eye guards which have been tested using our medical device standards. No further eye protection is required for this device.

How long does the battery last?

A full charge provides approximately 5 to 6 10 minute treatments and takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to recharge.

How do I clean and care for my Dermalux LED Face Mask?

Wipe the Mask with an approved antibacterial or water-based wipe and allow it to dry completely before use. When not in use, store your Dermalux LED Face Mask in the protective storage pouch provided.
